Our piston or reciprocating air compressor is the simplest type of ai compressors, and is widely used in small industrial units. Piston air compressors do not have a continuous duty cycle and works for about 30 min for every hour of cycle. It needs a proper cooling period between cycles without which the compressor may malfunction. Two stage compressor consist of two or more cylinders. The atmospheric air enters into LP cylinder through inlet filter & valves and passes to HP cylinder through intercooler for final pressure. Screw compressor is a type of rotary compressor that compresses air by screw action. The most important component of the screw compressor is two screw-like rotating elements. The twin screw consists of male and female rotors that rotate in opposite directions while the volume between them, as well as between the screw and the casing, decreases.
Each meshing helical screw has a fixed, built-in pressure ratio that depends on the screw parameters like its length and pitch. For maximum efficiency, it is important that the pressure ratio is adapted to the working pressure required at your facility. There are no valves or mechanical forces in the compressor, and hence vibrations are minimal. Twin desiccant towers are used in the heatless air dryer system where a portion of the dry air flows from the online drying tower to the offline regenerating tower. Regeneration is the removal of accumulated moisture from the desiccant and is also known as purging. The dry air attracts the moisture from the desiccant and exhausts into the atmosphere.

In refrigerated air dryer, the warm and moist incoming air is first cooled in air-to-air exchange. The outgoing cold air is then warmed again through air-to-air exchange to ensure safety of equipment and/or products.
